Padron 1964 Anniversary Exclusivo

The Padron 1964 Anniversary series is proof that you don’t need to spend $30 to smoke something extraordinary. The Exclusivo is a box-pressed torpedo that punches well above its price point.

First Third

Espresso and cocoa right out of the gate. There’s a nutty sweetness underneath — toasted almond — that keeps things interesting. The draw is slightly tight but very productive. The box press gives it a comfortable feel in the hand.

Second Third

Caramel joins the party. The cocoa shifts from dark to milk chocolate, and a subtle creaminess smooths out the espresso. The burn is near-perfect. Four-year-aged tobacco showing its class.

Final Third

The pepper ramps up here. Earth and leather come through, with the cocoa holding on. It never gets bitter, which is rare for a cigar this strong in the final third. A satisfying, robust finish.

The Verdict

The Padron 1964 Anniversary Exclusivo is the best value in premium cigars. You get 93-point quality for $13-16. If you’re building a humidor, this should be one of your first boxes. Consistent, complex, and genuinely outstanding.
